Join us on Saturday, May 18th for the first ever Minersville Community Day celebration! The Reading & Northern will be operating an excursion train from Reading to Minersville for passengers to enjoy the day’s festivities. This train will operate from Reading Outer Station with stops at Port Clinton Station and Schuylkill Haven Station, and is scheduled to utilize our Rail Diesel Cars (RDCs) for motive power.

During the event, CNJ 113 will be operating short “shuttle trains” from the Minersville Station to the New Saint Nicholas coal breaker and back. Shuttle Trains will operate every hour on the hour between 10:00AM and 3:00PM. Trips will be approximately 40 minutes in duration. Passengers from the excursion train will be able to add a shuttle train to their round trip when purchasing tickets below. Excursion train passengers will be able to ride the 12pm, 1pm, or 2pm shuttles, and a specific time will be assigned by the conductor in route to Minersville.

Round Trip with Shuttle Ride

Reading Outer Station & Port Clinton Station: $50/person

(Shuttle Train times for Combo Tickets will be assigned on the day of the event by the conductor)

Shuttle Ride ONLY

(If not riding the excursion train, will be sold in person at Minersville Station on day of event)

$11/person ages 3 and up

Children 2 and under receive a free shuttle ride ticket.

Please bring your email confirmation with you day of train ride.

Your tickets will be ready for you to pick up as you board the train.
