ITINERARY:

  • Boarding at Penobscot begins at 8:30am.

  • Departure from Penobscot is 9:30am SHARP.

  • Expected arrival in Jim Thorpe is 11:15am.

  • Boarding at Jim Thorpe begins at 3:30pm.

  • Departure from Jim Thorpe is 4:00pm SHARP.

  • Expected arrival in Penobscot is 5:30pm.

Your tickets will be ready for you to pick up at the station prior to boarding.

  • Reading and Northern only has 2 steam engines. We have no backup.

    Everybody realizes that mechanical machines built by human beings can fail. Therefore, the railroad works very hard to make sure that we maintain our steam engines to the highest quality.

    However, if something unforeseen happens beyond the railroad's control, these trips will be diesel.
