Our 1950s Pullman sleeper car, Schuylkill River, features 6 single occupancy rooms (1 person each) and 2 quadruple occupancy rooms (4 people each). This car is climate controlled and has a restroom available at one end of the coach. This car offers guests a great private option!

First Class Lounge/Observation

Featuring plush armchairs at either end, this car also offers restaurant-style booth seating as well as a wood-paneled snack bar situated in the middle of the coach that is occasionally used to serve refreshments to guests. There are clean restrooms on board, and this car is fully climate controlled.

• Please arrive at your boarding station least ONE HOUR prior to your departure time to allow time for parking, check-in, and boarding.

• Free parking is available at Pittston Station and Penobscot Station.

• Please bring your e-mail confirmation with you the day of your train ride.

• Your tickets will be ready for you to pick up at the station prior to boarding the train.

While in Jim Thorpe, you can also ride the 45-minute Autumn Leaf Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway train*! Available departures are 12:00pm, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm. Click HERE for more information and to PRE-PURCHASE your LGSR tickets!

*Subject to availability. Riding any LGSR train departing later than 2:00pm during your stay in Jim Thorpe will result in you missing the excursion train back to Penobscot or Pittston! The Lehigh Gorge train travels a portion of the same route as the excursion train from Pittston.
